Slope Stability and Monitoring

Bringing Expertise & Precision to Exploration, Estimation & Excavation

Slope stability is the potential of soil covered slopes to withstand and undergo movement. Especially in hilly terrain, the unstable slope is always a hazard. Apart from assessing and monitoring existing slopes, the critical consideration in slope stability is proper slope design. The first step in successful slope design requires collecting information regarding the geophysical and geomechanical properties of the rock mass, site geology and presence of groundwater in and around the excavation.

Stable slopes are essential for safe excavation. In mines, for safety and cost reduction one needs to find out the best stable slope. Even as per the Mines Rules, slope study reports have to be undertaken once in 5 years or per request of the DGMS.

We conduct slope stability analysis for our clients to design safe, sustainable projects.

Uttam Blastech offers a blend of empirical and analytical analysis complemented by sound operational experience to give practical solutions tailored to your site-specific conditions. We also consult and collaborate with third-party consultants (for eg. IIT Kharagpur) to obtain environmental clearance.

We focus on applying and interpreting the analytical results by creating numerical models and designing parameters that are practical and add value to your projects. Our team of professionals includes individuals who have worked on various deposits bringing a rich and broad experience to your projects.
